Duration 7:15 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday / Thursday By the bay of Samaná, officially declared a Marine Mammal Sanctuary in 1986, from January 15th to March 30th we can observe the migration of large groups of humpback whales which, like every year, return to court, mate and give birth in the Atlantic waters. In the city of Santa Bárbara de Samaná, the small Museo de las Ballenas offers interesting information on these giant mammals and their predilection for the northwestern coasts of the Dominican Republic.
